"If I can dream of a better place..." (Elvis 1968). Elvis sings these words in a song written by W. Earl Brown in response to the assassinations of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King to keep the dream alive. I believe in what these great men stood for. A quote from Bobby Kennedy says "There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why... I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?” which sums up the challenges we face in our lifetimes. Should we dislike the world and live in our own little shells or should we do something to change the world we live in? The universe is essentially beautiful and, it has always been my goal to allow the beauty of our universe to be experienced by all. To help nurture an environment where we can achieve and maintain a presence of body and mind that is healthy and fair for all of us.
In order to achieve these things:
1) Everyone must be fed. In a world of plenty it is pure evil for any person to go hungry. Every human should at least have a small garden so they may know what its like to eat real food.
2) We must reduce our toxicity to our environment, ourselves, and nature. Reducing fossil fuel based emissions is a start.
3) Minimize! Although its hard to do, we just don't need all that stuff!
